XChat.v2.8.9.Cracked Teamspeak has been the leading voice communication program for gamers for quite some time, but it's always been a paid-for client with a price tag to match, which is why we don't recommend using it unless you have bought the product and run out of money to pay for it again and again and again (and by "again" we mean like an hour, tops). XChat has been the leading open source client for VoIP chat, but it's always lagged behind in features and stability under Windows, which is why it's never really caught on with many gamers. Until now. XChat 2.8 has recently been released to fix a bevy of bugs and add some new features, including Channel Privilege Levels (for managing channel administrators), an Away system that tracks away status automatically, support for IPv6 servers, and improved UTF-8 support through the addition of ENet 1.3.2 (which helps with both IRC and NickServ). The changelog for this latest release is long and very thorough, but the highlights of this release are probably the following: -- Channel Privilege Levels (formerly known as CPLs) include four roles: Operator, Member, Admins, and Admins-only. The former two are pretty self-explanatory. An Operator can kick or ban members of their channel, while an Admin can kick or ban any member of the channel. By default, an admin is assigned Operator status on creation of a channel. -- Away messages are now handled by XChat 2.8's built-in Away system. When a user is offline, they have the ability to mark themselves as being temporarily away. When they're back, they can either remove the message from their server or add a new one to notify everyone that they're back. However, this is just a basic notification system and does not notify other users when an admin or operator leaves/joins a channel. (Note: Due to the release of 2.9 in 2005, XChat v2.8 will not be updated any further.) Download XChat XChat 2.9 is a great improvement over v2. 8, but it has no released yet. It is under development though. Warning: This client might possibly act up alot on some systems, especially if they are on older XP versions. Take some time to understand the settings, but its not hard to figure out.
